A little bit about me
Hi, my name is Renae but my favourite calls me “Mama”! I’m a pasta lover, coffee addict and self-confessed crazy plant lady.
Firstly, I just want to say “thank you” for popping in to check out our store - I’m giving you a virtual hi-five right now!
My MissEight-going-on-Thirteen and I call the beautiful Lockyer Valley in Queensland “home” and when I’m not reading, working on one of my 16 million different craft projects or building cubby houses from sheets, I’m travelling through Outback Queensland for work with the bestie in tow.
Our story first began somewhere between Barcaldine and Emerald (Queensland), from within the walls of my second home - the work truck, Ivy.
I am such a huge supporter of the #buyfromthebush campaign and have followed and supported it intently. But I just felt like I needed to do more for these families.
So after bouncing ideas around, much research and brainstorming ways to help, “The Windmill Collective” was created - an initiative that I am beyond passionate about.
We are a pop up shop, frequenting markets in the South East Queensland corridor, stocking the beautiful products made by people even more beautiful. (I’m serious. Jump on over to the “Meet our Makers” page to see for yourself!)
Our mission is simple - to support and promote the amazing rural makers of Australia.
We provide a permanent outlet and the opportunity to have their amazing products showcased in the South East Queensland region.
So in a nutshell, we aim to make a difference in the lives of rural families, one sale at a time.
Oh, and one last thing - thank you again!
Ps. And again! ♥
